The mayor of Vallehermoso, Emiliano Coello, has presented to the media the new tourist portal of the municipality, www.vallehermoso.info. The site is initially translated into three languages and is a tool which will open to the world all the tourist potential offered by this northern municipality of La Gomera. In this regard, Coello stressed that the new portal offers a modern view of Vallehermoso as a tourist destination, emphasizing what are the main districts of the municipality and describing the neighborhoods that make them up.
In addition, the new site includes positioning of all its resources by the download of KMZ files that are used, among others, by Google Earth software and that allows users to organize their visit with a high level of detail and knowledge. The portal also offers information of interest on how to get to Vallehermoso and includes links to other entities or elements of tourist interest in the area, such as its trails, beaches, churches and chapels, as well as its natural protected areas.
the new portal highlights the borough’s history, culture and traditions
All this is done with a very visual and attractive design, in which the images show the natural beauty of the landscapes and in which a special effort has been made to highlight the borough’s history, culture and traditions. “These elements make Vallehermoso an unparalleled destination within the totality of La Gomera’s offer”, Coello claimed.
Now, after its implementation, the Town Council will continue its updating, expanding its content to accommodate all new developments and thus providing the most complete and rigorous information to all tourists potentially interested in knowing Vallehermoso.
Likewise, the Town Council of Vallehermoso took the opportunity to announce the ongoing renovation of the institutional website, which offers a renewed layout and is completely adapted to the use through mobile phones. “And this is just the beginning”, said Coello, since the governing group is working on new technology initiatives such as expanding the range of active social networks, that will soon allow to increase the number of different channels of communication that the Town Council offers to its residents.
