The Gomeran leader said that the initial estimate of investment reaches 400,000 euros that are divided into two lines of action. The first is aimed at the creation of new companies, and those that have started their activity as of October 1, 2017 or have plans to do so before October 1, 2018, will be eligible. “In this case we cooperate with the initial phase of entrepreneurial projects, at which time the new businesses most need incentives to start their projects”, he said.
actions that increase the quality and competitiveness of services
Regarding the second line, it is intended for actions that increase the quality and competitiveness of services in companies that have registered in economic activities before October 1, 2017. In this sense, Curbelo explained that this modality allows to increase the technological and innovative capacity of already consolidated projects.
The counselor of Industry, Trade and Consumption, Emiliano Coello, placed value on the commitment of the Island Council with the business sector and explained that the Council is working to finalize with the processing of the aid of the previous convocation to be able to make the payments. “We speak about more than 170 companies whose projects adjusted to the bases and now receive the corresponding economic contribution”, he said.
Coello also referred to the rest of the actions that the Island Council of La Gomera has in place to promote business activity. In this matter, he referred to the agreements reached with the Chamber of Commerce of Santa Cruz de Tenerife for the advice to new entrepreneurs or those subscribed with different banking entities in order to cooperate in the economic revitalization of the island.
Finally, the insular counselor explained that the period for submission of the documentation to qualify for the new convocation begins from this Tuesday and will continue until May 22.
